Workshops

Moving Sounds in Lewes, East SussexWe offer workshops for any level, young or old including groups with learning difficulties or special needs. We will often incorporate a performance by Movingsounds in a session to inspire and educate groups. Participants can then create their own piece that can be shown to a wider audience.







WORKSHOP MENU:

  • THE ECOVISION SHOW
    The musical theatre performance and workshop exploring the issues of climate change and fossil fuel dependence (see THE ECO SHOW).

  • RECYCLED ORCHESTRA
    A fantastic collection of instruments made from found and recycled objects creating beautiful group music with a powerful environmental message.

  • THE GREAT EMBAIRE XYLOPHONE
    The biggest xylophone in the world from Uganda, with 22 keys, 3 meters long and can be played by 10 people all together. It is a stunning centrepiece to the global music workshop.

  • MULTIMEDIA ARTS
    Make a short film or documentary with your own soundtrack. Discover how to communicate important issues through contemporary digital media.

  • DRUMMING AND MUSIC
    Experience rhythms from around the world in this high-energy participatory workshop suitable for any ability.

  • ENVIRONMENTAL STORYTELLING
    Working with ecological themes we create new myths and musical stories together.

  • SINGING AND SONGWRITING
    Write your own lyrics, find your voice, sing in a choir or record your own songs. Workshops for all ages and abilities.

  • VISUAL ARTS
    Transform a space through colourful murals, art installation or a magical labyrinth.

  • CARNIVAL ARTS
    Processional music, amazing costumes and celebration of the whole community.
